Women Air Borne - New Record Set - Media Photos Selected

Courteney Remple refueling Mountain City Aviation's C172 at Lyncrest Airport. Pilots donated all their time,  airplane, fuel...totalling $1000's of dollars worth of flight time.

Here's a few of the 264 women and girls of all ages that went flying in Women Air Borne, sponsored by the Springfield Flying Club, Recreational Aircraft Association, RM of Springfield and the flying clubs and pilots throughout Manitoba!

Female pilots included Anne (Private Pilot), Chantal (Commercial Multi IFR), Cindy Glover (Air Canada Captain), Ann (owns farm strip east of Birds' Hill Park), Courteney Remple (Mountain City Aviation Morden), Delainey Brown (Commercial Multi-IFR - ABD), Irene Hyland (Chipmunk pilot), Amy Johnson (Private Pilot student Harv's Air), and Jill Oakes

Women checking out Peter Moodie's Fleet Canuck, built in Canada in 1948! Peter flew as Captain for Air Canada and recently retired. He took the last three passengers of the day up for a most spectacular flight into the setting sun after waiting 4 hours for their flights!

Bruce McEwing flew in from Brandon first thing in the morning with his C182 and continued flying right through til dark. Here are two of his passengers that are now dreaming about flying...something they had never dreamed of before!
